  1. **hangs my head in shame at all the stuff I sent you guys** Ok, now that I’m over that, let me just say how much I love these pictures of my little nephew! In all seriousness, I love this post and am so thankful you’re raising such a sweet little boy. I will only bring him one new thing next month when I visit – a new “I Love My Aunt” shirt!

Well most of the things you got him I enjoyed, lol- like the clothes! And the movies he’ll enjoy when he’s older. So don’t hang your head down! You did above great! It’s just the toys that we’ll need to reign in next year- we’re just as guilty!

Just finally had the time to read this, and I’m glad I did! 🙂 I’m so happy you 3 have joined us here in SoCal! Thank you for coming Christmas Eve.
I agree with the limiting on toys for Christmas, I say this every year! They always end up wth more than they could possibly “need”, and I end up with the crazy mess! I told Josh we weren’t going nuts this year, and I FINALLY stuck to it! SO GLAD I DID!! The kids were appreciative of their new toys and took the time to enjoy them, rather than throwing them to the side for the next one.
You always take amazing pictures, I need some lessons!!!

Thank you for having us Barbara! And hopefully next Christmas I will do better! You’ll have to hold me to it. And thanks for the awesome compliment! 😉

    Sarah,

I LOVE so much about this post.
First and foremost, I love you instilling in Easton the need to “thank” others for their gifts. I was taught to do the same and I have already set aside thank you cards to fill out for family and friends that got Eileen a Christmas gift, given she won’t be helping much at 11 months 🙂

I think I’m also going to have steal your idea of “3 main gifts” in regards to the Three Wiseman. What a great idea to bring back the meaning of Christmas and to keep things in check. It was hard not buy everything cute / funny / adorable I saw while out shopping. But I think I did a good job.

I also LOVE the bag Aunt KiKi got Easton. I’ve seen these before and want to get Eileen one for next year.

Love reading your posts! Keep up the good work!

    Missy

What a great comment to read, Missy! Thank you so much. It’s great hearing encouraging words from other moms. And also great hearing that someone else was taught the etiquette of thank you cards!
