Sleeping patterns: Bed time is at 2000 now and he wakes up around 0730. Nap time is at 1300 and lasts for 2 hours.
Feeding schedule: Easton loves eating bagels, yogurt, cereal, and fruit for breakfast. Sometimes he is too interested in his toys to eat, but he lets us know when he’s hungry by opening the refrigerator door. Lunch usually consists of a sandwich and dinner can be anything from pasta, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, and a veggie. He loves green beans, corn, and carrots. For snacks Easton loves grapes, hummus, wheat thins, and cheese. Easton still opposes meat unless it’s hidden in a sandwich. His two main drinks are still milk and water.
Sounds and motions he makes: Easton is like a little human being now! He can put several words together and knows the name of countless things. His favorite things to say are, “oh no”, “move” and “mine”. He still grabs your hand while saying, “hand, hand” and takes you to what he would like. He loves singing songs and doing the hand motions to them. His favorite song lately has been “Slippery Fish”.
Likes and dislikes: Easton loves his daddy. There is no doubt that he is definitely a daddy’s boy! He loves playing rough with his daddy and being daddy’s shadow while learning cool new things like how to pee standing up. Sigh… he’s got me there. Easton just recently got to watch his first movie and it was Disney’s, Planes. Ever since then, it is Dusty this and Dusty that! I’m currently in the process of broadening his movie horizons to some other Disney classics. Easton also loves trains, or “choo choo’s” as he calls them. He goes to bed with a train in his hand and wakes up wanting to play with them again. He also loves Semper, or “Dobbie” as he affectionately calls him. He squeals with delight sometimes when he sees him and likes for him to be in his room when we read his bedtime story. Easton dislikes timeouts, sitting still for a picture, and having to say goodbye to Dusty.
By the end of the month, he is learning to: Easton is such a little knowledge sponge! I bought several flash cards with the alphabet letters and an animal on them and Easton can point to whatever animal I name. He also has learned how to use the big boy potty this month and can whiz by us on his new pedal-less bike. Easton definitely has a wonderful sense of humor and loves tickling us and making others laugh. He is very independent and loves doing things by himself like wiping his hands and face.
It’s always funny how similar but not similar two kids can be. Addison is 37 inches tall, so she would be towering over him at this point. Addie also has some focusing problems while eating. It takes forever to eat these days!
