- Height: 36.5″
- Weight: 32 lbs
- Sleep schedule: Bed time is at 2000 and he wakes up around 0700. Nap time is at 1300 and lasts for 1-2 hours.
- Favorite foods: Cereal, yogurt, cottage cheese, goldfish, yogurt covered raisins, hummus, carrots, grapes, cheese, applesauce, green beans, ketchup, ice cream, and of course, chicken nuggets.
- Speech: I’ve started writing down some of the funny things Easton has been saying. It seems like everyday he picks up something new from us or school. When Amelia cries he will tell me, “baby is getting fussy.” When he doesn’t know the answer to something he says, “I no think-saur”, which means, I don’t know. I always tell him to pay attention when he is peeing standing up, so now when he’s peeing he says, “gotta pay attention” and after he’s finished, he proudly states, “I paid attention mommy!” When he wakes up in the morning, he closes his door behind him. When I asked him why, he said, “gotta close the door so a/c doesn’t come out.” Haha. Can’t complain about that! He loves to take care of Amelia and always says, “gotta help baby sister.” He thinks it’s hilarious to fake burp or cough and say “excuse me” afterwards. And he will quickly comfort you and tell you “it was an accident” if you do anything like trip or drop something. We have definitely entered into the age where we need to watch what we say because he will repeat it! One thing that he says that always makes me laugh is when he says yes to a question I’ve asked him. He says it with such conviction, “Yesssss momma, yessss.”
- Likes and dislikes: Easton loves to be at home playing with his toys which include; Legos, Hot Wheels, and trains. We call him our little homebody. He enjoys being outdoors riding his bike or walking Semper, having books read to him or reading them by himself, and building pirate ships and planes out of Legos. He has also been the best big brother to his little sister. He loves helping to calm her when she starts to cry and giving her a blanket if he thinks she’s cold. Easton also loves learning about the planets, especially Mars. For dislikes, Easton seems to be afraid of his own shadow sometimes. He loved looking at the planes at the airshow we recently attended, but did not like being picked up and put on the wing of the plane for a picture. We also had the chance to tour a pirate ship recently and he was only happy once he was off. He still hates getting his head and face wet. We have started private swim lessons in the hope that it will boost his confidence.
- He is learning to: Easton is learning to dress himself and go to the bathroom now with no assistance. He really surprised me when he put his shoes on the correct feet one day all by himself! He has wonderful manners, always saying thank you, excuse me, please, and you’re welcome. He does a great job pushing his chair up to the table when he’s done eating and taking his plate to the sink. He is currently learning the days of the week, with Tuesday being his favorite day.

Easton is so much fun to be around, always keeping us laughing and a smile on our faces. I hope I’m not jinxing myself by saying that he never really experienced the terrible two’s. His teacher at school always tells us how well he is doing, whether it is being a leader or using his words to let his friends know he needs his space. We always get a kick out of when he’ll sit by us on the couch and motion us to move over because he needs his space, or if we hug him too long. He loves talking to random people at the store telling them his name and letting them know that I’m his mommy. He loves introducing his baby sister to anyone that is in earshot and loving on her. I love hearing him talk and pronounce big words. His vocabulary grows everyday. But mostly he makes our family laugh and brightens our day, especially when he runs up to us with a big hug after being at school all day and saying that he missed us. This years picture was the easiest one ever to take. I sat him in the chair where he proceeded to say “cheese” and look away from the camera. All it took was me saying, “POOP”, and he looked right at me and laughed. Gotta love boys! I pray everyday that he stays this fun, loving and sweet. He was so excited about his birthday this year and having happy birthday sung to him. I’m looking forward to next year and all the new things he will learn. Yes, he gets the occasional time out when he tests our authority, but isn’t that what kids do at this age? Love you, Easton! Thanks for being such a joy to have as a son!
