Sleeping patterns: I moved Amelia’s bedtime to 1800 and we have had much better luck with that. Almost immediately after her 3 month post, we figured out that she was teething and that seems to be the culprit for her restless nights. She has some nights where she only wakes up two times and then others where she is up every few hours. During the day, she is up for around 1.5-2 hours before heading back down for an hour or two nap.
Feeding schedule: Amelia eats every 3 hours during the day and usually twice at night. I’ve decided that if she wakes up more than that during the night, it is simply because of her teeth and nurses for comfort.
Sounds and motions she makes: Amelia still loves smiling, squealing and chatting loudly when she is happy. Sometimes she squeals so loud, we mistake her for a pterodactyl! She has also found her thumb and loves sucking on it. Oddly enough, she still dislikes her pacifier. She enjoys standing up and looking around, rolling onto her side, and kicking her legs on her play mat. I don’t think it will be long before she can roll over completely.
Likes and dislikes: Amelia loves to pull her socks off her feet since she can grab her toes and roll. She loves chewing on Sophie the giraffe now that we’ve determined she’s teething. She enjoys being with everyone and has loved looking at the Christmas lights this month. We will stick her under the Christmas tree and she will be content just staring at them. She still loves standing up and looking around or being outdoors. She is definitely a happy baby and loves to interact with us and smile back. She has really disliked teething this month. We are hoping some teeth will pop out soon to give her some relief.
By the end of the month, she is learning to: Amelia is getting better at holding her toys and bringing them up to her mouth to chew on. She is working on her roll and is so close to rolling over. She has also learned to suck on her thumb to soothe herself when I am not available.
She is precious and getting so big!
Thank you, Becca! Your little one will be here before you know it!
