Welcome Amelia- A Birth Story
My mom has a timeshare on the beach in Longboat Key, FL and this was Easton’s first time getting to go. Some of the husbands were tied up so we decided to just make it a girls weekend + Easton. My mom and sister wanted to give Easton some of his birthday gifts a little early since they weren’t going to be in Cali for his official birthday. So we started the trip off with opening some presents!
Throughout the week, we saw some gorgeous sunsets and ate some yummy seafood…
Easton enjoyed playing with some rocks by the side of the pool instead of the actual pool…he is such a boy!
We let him bring his rocks to the water and his world was at peace.
We enjoyed a picnic dinner on the beach followed by a gorgeous sunset!
View from our balcony.
And had daily visits from our feathered friend, Frasier.
Easton was a little frightened of the ocean and didn’t seem too thrilled about the sand either. Hopefully with time, he’ll grow to love it. Although if his daddy and Aunt KiKi have anything to say about it, they’re fine with him just liking the pool!
We gave Easton a break from the water one day and did some shopping and sightseeing.

Our final night we took pictures on the beach after dinner.
The girls + Easton
It was wonderful getting away from the mundane things of life back home like cooking and cleaning. And it’s always wonderful getting to spend time with my mom and sister, but traveling with a baby is hard! I tried to keep Easton on west coast time, but it’s amazing how they will adapt their sleeping schedule to the sun! It also makes for a fussy baby when they’re off their schedule. Plus I think he missed his toys and bed. We might be keeping the vacations close to home for a while! Regardless, I’m glad that I got to spend this time with them and they got to make memories with Easton. Now it’s back in the saddle with grocery shopping and laundry.

How fun! I just love that little face =) I think all little kids have issues with the sand and waves at first–the boys are IN LOVE with it now, so hang in there. Thanks for sharing the fun!
