Welcome Amelia- A Birth Story
Easton’s bedroom truly is magical during the month of December. I find myself coming to sit on his bed and chat more during the evenings when his Christmas tree is all lit up. He has the bigger of the two children’s bedrooms and therefore I was able to put a 6.5 ft Christmas tree in his room this year. Amelia was less than thrilled, but I promised her she’d get one too, once she has a bigger room.
His new tree is decorated with woodland creatures as well as some ornaments he’s made himself over the years. I added the red beaded garland and the vintage bubble lights that were once on our family tree as well. But my favorite addition is no doubt the pennant tree topper! It was a definite must-have when I saw it online and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more perfect tree topper for a kid’s Christmas tree!
Easton’s sheets got changed out with some fun, flannel skier sheets and the crocheted Santa sitting on top of his bed was handmade by my great-grandmother. I just love his long hat with the pom pom at the end!
Easton was obsessed with Thomas the Train when he was a little kid and I’ve held onto them because for one, Amelia enjoys playing with it from time to time, and two, I envisioned using it for a train set going around the Christmas tree in his room one day. Well my friends, that time has finally come!
I found these tiny bottle brush trees and wreath from Hobby Lobby and added them to the set! I’m pretty sure it doesn’t get much cuter than this!
On top of Easton’s dresser sits a fun and quirky Santa, as well as his record player. One of my favorite Christmas movies is Small One and I love that he has a record for it!
Easton’s desk is decorated with this fun TV that plays Christmas music while the characters spin around the scene. It’s as close to a real TV as he’s going to get in his bedroom, so he enjoys it! 😜
I also kept this cute candlestick craft he made a few years ago to display on his desk. It illuminates his letter to Santa quite nicely. ☺️
Above his desk hangs a bulletin board which I decorated with this adorable felt reindeer. He’s got the cutest jingle bell nose I ever did see!
I hope this post will inspire you to bring some Christmas cheer to your children’s bedroom! It’s definitely something my children look forward to every year.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
