Sleeping patterns: We are finally back on track with Easton’s sleep schedule! Hooray! He would wake up a few times in the middle of the night and cry for 5-1o minutes and then go back to sleep. All he needed was a few minutes to soothe himself back to sleep (instead of me running in there to feed him because I was worried about waking others up) and get used to not eating in the middle of the night. He goes to bed around 1830 and wakes up around 0500 to eat, then goes back to sleep until 0630 or 0700. I’ll take it!
Feeding schedule: Easton is still breastfeeding several times a day and eating three meals a day with some snacks in between. He loves yogurt, most fruit, sweet potatoes, green beans from Gerber (still trying to perfect my homemade baby food-making skills in the veggie dept), rocks, leaves, sticks, dog food, and loves trying new things off of mommy and daddy’s plates.
Sounds and motions he makes: Easton loves making random noises, one in particular that Logan has termed the ‘baby deer’ noise. He still talks a lot, dances to music, and has learned to lean in when he hears the word ‘kiss’. He also started crawling a few days after turning 9 months old!
Likes and dislikes: Easton loves to crawl all over the house and get into whatever he can. His favorite thing are the dogs’ water bowls. He loves going for walks in his stroller, exploring new things, laughing, splashing in the pool, pulling the toilet paper off the roll, ripping up magazines, playing in the refrigerator and dishwasher, and anything else mommy will let him get into. He also enjoys face timing with Grandma and Aunt KiKi. He still dislikes having his diaper changed unless you can really entertain him, being told ‘no’, having his fingernails clipped, and sitting still.
By the end of the month, he is learning to: Easton can stand for a few seconds without assistance. He is learning what certain words mean, knows his name and crawls faster than a speeding bullet. He is quite mischievous and tries to get into something before you see him, turning back to look at you while he jets for it. We’ve already had a few ‘parent of the year award’ moments happen when he pulled some items on top of himself. This month ended in Easton’s first black eye and bloody lip. He is definitely all boy.
I just about died laughing when I’m reading all his favorite foods and then all of a sudden it says “rocks, leaves, sticks…”! Crazy boy. See you all in a WEEK!

Those “random noises” he makes undoubtedly is him trying to say GRANDMA! Miss him so much!
