A North Carolina-based photographer and interior designer, here to inspire you to get those photos off your computer and into your home-even in a rental!
Sleeping patterns: Bed time has moved back a little to 1930 and he wakes up around 0700. I think if I bought some black out curtains for his room he’d sleep in a little longer… Nap time is around 1230 and lasts for 1-2 hours.
Feeding schedule: Easton has slowed down on his eating. He seems way more interested in playing now! When he does get hungry, he loves to eat key lime Greek yogurt, hummus, pasta, green beans, chicken fajitas, oranges, Honey Bunches of Oats cereal, turkey sandwiches, cottage cheese, smoothies, cheese sticks, and yogurt covered raisins. His favorite thing to drink is water. The only thing Easton refuses to eat are eggs and meat. If he eats meat, we have to hide it in a fajita or bun. Logan and I are not vegetarians, so we are hoping he will grow out of this quickly.
Sounds and motions he makes: Easton’s vocabulary has grown so much! He knows several words and has even started putting a few words together. He still hasn’t figured out the word ‘yes’ though. His favorite thing to do is grab your hand and take you to something that he wants while trying to tell you. He claps at the end of every book and song and waves at almost everyone while smiling and saying” hi.” He also loves repeating words that he hears – his favorite this past month has been “eww”!
Likes and dislikes: Easton loves his blanket and stuffed animal ‘Walter’, which happens to be an otter we picked up at the Sea Aquarium for his first birthday. He is also obsessed with riding his trike. We can take him on a looong ride and he will still pitch a fit when it’s time to go inside. He loves wearing a hat and sunglasses, playing outside, giving hugs and kisses, tractors, pom-poms, splashing in the water, getting behind the steering wheel, getting dirty and drinking dirty water (such as in the bath tub or his water play table), and reading books. He dislikes when it’s time to come inside, having his diaper changed, and wearing a bib.
By the end of the month, he is learning to: Easton learns something new everyday. He knows the name of most body parts and where they’re located, animals noises, and is still an avid dancer. He can put a puzzle together in the blink of an eye and remembers hand motions and words to songs that he learns in daycare. He is starting to really enjoy the water and feel more comfortable at the beach. He got his first haircut this month and looks older everyday.
Great picture! Addison, only three days older, out-weighs him by almost ten pounds. It’s crazy the difference in size even at the same age. Addie loves dancing and puzzles too. She also does the showing me what she wants, but she usually goes through all the effort to put my hand on a book to hand to her instead of just taking it herself. Kids are funny.
I miss you my little booger…
