Welcome Amelia- A Birth Story
So much for my “taking his picture is so easy now” comment that I made six months ago. As you can see, getting a three and a half year old to sit and smile a “good” smile is quite challenging. I thought having Daddy help would make things easier, but apparently that only fueled his fire. These are the pictures I’m going to love looking back on. Not much has changed for Easton in the last six months. He still enjoys the same foods and goes to bed at the same time. His vocabulary is forever growing and he loves repeating things that he hears Logan and me say. “That’s ridiculous,” “that’s what I’m talking about!” and “don’t want to be late” are some of his more frequent sayings. He dislikes bugs and is definitely going through the fearful stage. We have learned that he definitely has to warm up to new things before liking them. He gets his feelings from me and is super sensitive. He loves play-doh, trains, planes, pirates and tractors. He is the sweetest big brother to Amelia, except when he wants a toy that he sees her playing with – that complicates things a bit. He is kind and compassionate and enjoys playing outside with his “new friends” as he calls them. We have been living in Virginia for almost five months now and he is adjusting great minus the “new” term he puts in front of everything. He still calls our house his “new house,” and I have to remind him that it’s not “new” anymore. He is forever in need of a playmate and says, “will you play with me?” almost every second of the day. He is extremely kind hearted, loves to snuggle, has a huge imagination, and great sense of humor. Sometimes when I ask him why he’s doing something he responds with, “just being funny, mommy.” I can’t believe in half a year, we’ll have a four year old.
