It has been quite a journey getting to watch Easton grow over the past year. Seems like just yesterday I was holding a tiny baby boy! Being a mom is much harder than I thought, but it has also brought me so much happiness and a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. I wouldn’t trade this past year for anything. Head over to my sister’s blog for a trip down memory lane and more pictures of Easton (because you can never get enough right?).
- Height: 31″
- Weight: 22 lbs
- Sleeping patterns: Easton sleeps from 1830-0630! Now if I could just go to bed when he does…
- Feeding schedule: Today was Easton’s last day breastfeeding. We have been transitioning him to organic whole milk and he loves it! No problems there, whew! He has also been eating turkey sandwiches and more whole foods. He loves his string cheese, oranges, prunes, yogurt, most things that mommy and daddy are eating, and still loves the taste of dog food!? Haven’t figured that one out yet…
- Sounds and motions he makes: Easton says uh oh (all the time), mama, dada, and doggy now pretty well. He loves waving at people and smiling. He will totally ham it up when someone looks at him and smiles too!
- Likes and dislikes: Easton loves the park and anything outdoors. He likes to push things around the room, climb on top of things and sit, getting dirty, and mimicking things that Logan and I do. He likes trying things that you’re eating and will let you know when he’s hungry! He loves holding onto your hands and walking around and stepping on things. He can walk quite fast while doing this! He still dislikes having his diaper changed and getting put into his highchair. (You’d think he’d enjoy a clean butt and knowing he’s about to get fed?)
- By the end of the month, he is learning to: Easton is learning how to push buttons to make things work and loves laughing and making others laugh. He is very loving and has turned into quite the sensitive fellow! He will cry if he hears anyone yelling. He isn’t walking yet but he stands for a long time without realizing he’s doing it, I keep waiting for him to just take off! He’s taking his time though and goes at his own pace.
Here’s an animated file of the past year of Easton’s monthly photos. My how things change!
And now some photos from Easton’s 1st birthday photo shoot by Kylene and Ryan Studios. Enjoy!
Thank you, Lord, for such an amazing blessing, he makes us so proud and brings a smile to our faces everyday!
