Welcome Amelia- A Birth Story
From the desk of Easton:
One day I woke
and all had changed
my diapers were thrown out
we were now estranged.
———
I was sat upon
a plastic throne
and told that this
was the new drop zone.
My domestic freedom
was taken from me
no longer could I poop
or pee as I pleased.
———
But just when I thought
that all had been lost
alas!-big kid underwear-
I would keep them dry at all costs!
No running faucets,
sprinklers, gallons of milk
or long car rides
would break my focus
and make me lose my stride.
———
Wherever we went
that plastic throne would appear
who’d have thought
it would always be so near?
It was dependable
this much was true
I just wish other things were-
like my morning poo.
———
I have made it into
the big kids club
I pee in the toilet
not in the tub.
———
Mom and Dad are so proud
I’m happier too
I’ve learned how great it is
not sitting in your poo!

I’m so jealous! I need your secret!
I wish we were there, but Addison has showed no interest. We just got down walking at 22 months though so hopefully (along with talking) that will come soon. But yay for you guys!
Oh my goodness this is so funny! Lucky you! 🙂
